Authorship Criteria

ADI Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Jurnal (ADIMAS Journal) is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and academic integrity in determining authorship. Authorship is granted to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to community service activities and the preparation of the manuscript. All authors must meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: Authors must contribute significantly to the conception, planning, design, methodology, implementation, or evaluation of community service activities. Contributions may also include data collection, analysis, interpretation of results, and the development of solutions addressing community needs.
  2. Manuscript Preparation: Authors must participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it to improve its intellectual content, methodological quality, clarity, and academic contribution.
  3. Final Approval: All authors must review and approve the final version of the manuscript before submission and publication. Each author must agree that the manuscript accurately represents the reported activities, results, and conclusions.
  4. Accountability: Authors must accept responsibility for their contributions and cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical conduct of the work.

Author Responsibilities

  • Author Contributions: Each author must make a genuine scholarly contribution to the manuscript. Contributions should be clearly identified and accurately reported to ensure transparency regarding the roles of all authors.
  • Corresponding Author: The corresponding author serves as the primary contact with the editorial team and is responsible for coordinating communication, confirming approval from all co-authors, and ensuring that submission information is complete and accurate.
  • Authorship Order: The order of authors should be discussed and agreed upon by all authors before submission. It should reflect the relative contributions of each individual to the community service activities and manuscript preparation.
  • Community Partners: Community members, practitioners, institutional representatives, and other partners may be included as authors when their contributions meet all authorship criteria. Participation in activities or the provision of institutional support alone does not automatically qualify an individual for authorship.
  • Acknowledgments: Individuals who provide technical assistance, administrative support, funding, logistical assistance, or general supervision without meeting all authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately, with their permission.

Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after manuscript submission must be accompanied by a valid justification and written agreement from all affected authors. The request must be submitted to the editorial team for review and approval. Changes must not be made unilaterally, and the journal may request additional documentation when necessary.

Ethical Considerations

  • Unethical Authorship: ADIMAS Journal does not permit guest authorship, honorary authorship, or gift authorship. Individuals who have not made the required scholarly contributions must not be listed as authors, while eligible contributors should not be excluded without appropriate justification.
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence: Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume academic responsibility or accountability. Authors who use AI tools must comply with the journal's Generative AI Policies and remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, appropriate attribution, and integrity of the submitted manuscript.
  • Authorship Disputes: Disputes concerning authorship should first be addressed collaboratively by the individuals involved. If unresolved, the editorial team may request relevant documentation and handle the matter impartially in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and applicable guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Declaration of Authorship

By submitting a manuscript to ADIMAS Journal, the corresponding author confirms that all listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria, have reviewed and approved the submitted version, and agree to be accountable for their respective contributions. All authors are expected to uphold the principles of transparency, fairness, and academic integrity throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes.
