Types of Manuscripts
ADI Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Jurnal (ADIMAS Jurnal) welcomes original scholarly manuscripts focused on community service, community empowerment, and the application of scientific knowledge and appropriate technology to address community needs. Submissions must align with the journal's aims and scope and demonstrate a clear contribution to community engagement practices.
1. Original Community Service Articles
Full-length articles presenting the implementation and evaluation of community service or empowerment programs. Manuscripts should describe the needs of community partners, program objectives, implementation methods, community participation, evaluation procedures, and outcomes. Findings may be supported by quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method evidence. The discussion should explain the benefits, limitations, and sustainability of the program.
2. Community-Based Case Studies
Articles providing an in-depth examination of a specific community service initiative, partnership, or empowerment program within its local context. Manuscripts should explain the community challenges, intervention approach, roles of participating stakeholders, outcomes, and lessons learned. Case studies should offer practical insights that may inform similar initiatives while acknowledging contextual limitations.
3. Applied Methods and Appropriate Technology Articles
Articles describing the development, adaptation, and application of methods, tools, training models, or appropriate technologies in community service. Manuscripts should explain the community needs addressed, the implementation process, community involvement, and evidence of usability or effectiveness. Technical descriptions must be accompanied by an evaluation of their application and benefits for community partners.
4. Review Articles
Articles critically synthesizing existing literature on community service, community empowerment, or community engagement approaches. Reviews should state a clear objective, explain how sources were identified and selected, and provide a structured analysis of the evidence. Manuscripts should identify knowledge gaps and implications for the design, implementation, or evaluation of community service programs.
5. Short Communications
Concise articles presenting a focused innovation, preliminary evaluation, or specific finding from an implemented community service initiative. Manuscripts should describe the community context, objective, methods, principal findings, and practical implications. Preliminary findings must be clearly identified, and conclusions should reflect the scope and limitations of the available evidence.
General Submission Requirements
All manuscript types must follow the journal's Author Guidelines and article template. Submissions must be original, must not be under consideration by another journal, and must comply with the journal's Publication Ethics. Authors should appropriately acknowledge community partners, funding sources, and other contributors, disclose conflicts of interest, and report ethical approval and participant consent where applicable.
ADIMAS encourages manuscripts that explain their contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where relevant to the community needs, activities, and outcomes reported. Such contributions should be supported by the manuscript's findings.
Submissions should provide scholarly analysis and evidence of community engagement. Activity announcements, promotional materials, and descriptive activity reports without evaluation or analytical discussion fall outside the intended manuscript categories.
All submissions are subject to editorial screening and peer review in accordance with the journal's policies. Acceptance depends on relevance to the journal's scope, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and the contribution to community service knowledge and practice.
